Travel Points Terms
Stitch Travel Points are a loyalty reward from Provenance Research ("Stitch", "we") on what your account spends through Stitch, which we turn into flights and hotels booked for you. These terms are part of the Terms of Service.
Earning
- Your account earns points on what it's charged for calls on Stitch credit: currently 5 points for every $1 (5%). Calls made with your own provider key don't earn points.
- Points belong to the account, not to a person or key, and are held for 30 days before they can be used, so that refunds and disputes can be settled first.
- Points have no cash value, can't be transferred or sold, and aren't property.
Booking travel with points
- The account owner can ask Stitch to book flights, a hotel, or both, from the console, once their email is confirmed. Trips start at 5,000 points and need at least 7 days' notice before departure.
- 100 points pay for $1 of a booking's total price, taxes and fees included. The points the owner sets aside are held when they ask; we book the trip on their behalf, using the traveller names and dates of birth they give us, and email the confirmation. If the booking costs less than was held, the rest comes back; we never book for more than was held.
- Until a trip is booked, the owner can cancel the request and every held point comes back. If we can't book it, we tell the owner why and return the points.
- Once booked, a trip is subject to the airline's, hotel's or other provider's own fare rules and terms, including their rules on changes, cancellations and refunds. Points used for a non-refundable booking aren't returned. If a provider refunds a booking, we return the refunded amount as points.
- Travellers are responsible for their own travel documents (passports, visas, health requirements) and for meeting check-in times. We aren't responsible for a provider's delays, cancellations or service.
- Points have no cash value outside bookings made through Stitch.
Losing points
- Points earned on spending that's later refunded or disputed, or earned through misuse or a breach of the Terms, may be removed, and redemptions may be paused while we look into it.
- Points that haven't been used when an account is closed are forfeited.
- We may change the earning rate or these terms, or end the program, with at least 30 days' notice to account owners by email. Points already available when a change takes effect can still be used for trips requested within 30 days of the notice.
Taxes
Rewards may have tax consequences for your company. You're responsible for any tax treatment that applies to them.
